Next Generation Leadership Academy
Next Generation Leadership Academy is a customized executive-level education partnership with the IU O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs. This 6-linked module, focusing on competency development in leading a nonprofit, is designed for new Executive Directors and next-generation leaders (70 in our community have benefited since 2016).
Modules consist of:
- Nonprofit Management
- Strategic Planning
- Program Evaluation
- Marketing and Communications
- Financial Analysis
- Human Resources
Duration: linked module, cohort learning of six, 2-day module training throughout 9 months
Participants: Executive Director or key leadership personnel (this is considered executive-level training)
Cost: The Next Generation Leadership Academy will be underwritten in large part by Welborn. However, participating organizations will be expected to cover a very small portion of the cost, based on their annual operating budget. We are committed to accessibility; please reach out to learn more or discuss concerns.

Previously offered every 3 years, this offering will now be provided every other year.
