Priorities
The Welborn Baptist Foundation is seeking to fund lasting change in the community we serve. Towards that end, we assess grant proposals based on:

• Demonstrated long-term results, or exceptional potential for such results based on well-established research
• Addressing root causes rather than symptoms
• Fit with our target areas of emphasis (see Funding Targets section)
• Deep, established collaborations with (not just referrals from) other like-minded organizations
• Excellent prospects for long-term sustainability without Foundation resources
• A clear implementation plan that enables successes to be replicated elsewhere

New, innovative approaches that do not fit all of the above are still welcomed for submission, but will face a higher standard for acceptance. Feel free to call Foundation offices during the grant proposal submission period if you have questions about the prospective priority of your proposal.
