| The genesis of this report is Welborn Baptist Foundation’s ongoing commitment to be data-driven and research-based in developing our agenda for change. Many of the eighteen health status issues discussed in this report are derived from the substance of the Foundation’s Leading Community Health Indicators Report, last updated in 2006. These data are routinely available for the states and the nation, but are frequently not available for individual counties. |
Since the release of the previous Leading Community Health Indicators Report, the Foundation worked together with community members to broaden and deepen the scope of this 2006 report, and to develop new indicators that help us better understand the status of the area we serve.We hope our citizens in business, government, family and personal lives will take advantage of this report to look at this picture of our community. |
